LCA Upper School (5th-8th)

Curriculum

The upper school (grades 5-8) program provide opportunity for intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical development. Training and instruction are used to guide the student toward self-direction, self-esteem, and self-responsibility. Academics are primarily high school preparatory, and opportunity is given for the development of technology skills, athletic abilities, and creative talents.

LCA utilizes textbooks and supplements from numerous publishers including, but not limited to, ABeka Book, ACSI, Bob Jones University Press, CSI, and Saxon Publishers, Inc. Academic subjects are integrated with Biblical truth.

Where Have We Been? Middle School Field Trips
Coca-Cola museum, the Varsity, Stevie B's and the dollar store for Operation Christmas Child, Atlanta History Museum, Tellus Museum, Medieval Times, Stone Mountain for the Indian Festival, Sweetwater State Park, Movies, The Rock Quarry, The Bodies Exhibit, Fernbank 8th grade field trip to Savannah, GA and Chattanooga, TN.

Glue, (4) 1 ½ inch binders, (2) Composition notebooks, Number two pencils with erasers, Blue/Black pens, Dividers (28 tabs total),Scissors, Notebook paper, Coloring utensils and a sharpener for the coloring utensils, NIV Bible (The NIV is what is used for memory verses, (4) book covers, Ruler, Hand held pencil sharpener, (1) Pocketed homework folder, Agenda,(2) boxes of tissue, Dictionary and Thesaurus Combination
